Not sure if you are ready

I'm Not Sure If I'm Ready for Yoga
or Little Glimmer

I've never done yoga before. Can I start with Little Glimmer?

Absolutely! You don't need any yoga experience to join. Flow to Restore classes are perfect for complete beginners. I offer clear directions, beginner-friendly variations for poses, and you'll have personalized attention in our small groups (max 12 people). All equipment is provided, so just bring yourself and a water bottle. First class $25, or try our First Month Pack for $80 (4 classes).

I haven't done yoga in years. Are Little Glimmer classes and retreats suitable for me?

Absolutely! All Little Glimmer experiences are perfect whether you're a complete beginner or returning to yoga after a break. Whether it's a Flow to Restore class or a mini-retreat, you'll receive personalized attention in small group settings (max 12 people). I offer variations for all levels, and the pace allows you to ease back in. Many students haven't practiced in ages when they start—that's exactly who these experiences are for.

Classes and retreats combine playful movement with deep rest, so you get both energizing flow and deeply restorative practice. North Fremantle Community Hall. Classes from $22, Mini-Retreats $80.

I'm not flexible at all. Can I still attend classes and retreats?

Yes! Flexibility is what happens when you practice yoga, not what you need before starting. All Little Glimmer classes and retreats include variations for tight muscles and stiff bodies. I work with you where you are today.

Small group sizes (max 12) mean I can offer personalized modifications. Being stiff is actually a great reason to start yoga—you'll notice the difference in how your body feels after just a few sessions.

Am I too old for yoga? Which ages do you cater for?

You are by no means too old! Please come and try a class or retreat. We welcome a range of ages (typically 21-65+, but that's just our usual range). Most importantly, it's a lovely little community without egos. The small group size and personalized approach means everyone can practice at their own level. I hope to meet you soon!

Are there many guys in your classes?

Sadly, not yet. We'd love to see more guys representing. The ones who do try become regulars! Flow to Restore is perfect for everyone—the mix of playful flow and deep restorative practice appeals to all bodies. Small classes (max 12) mean you won't feel lost in a sea of people, and I offer variations for everyone's level.

What to Expect

What to Expect

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat and props?

No! All equipment is provided and (maybe the best bit...) it's lovingly set up before you arrive. This includes:

  • Yoga mats

  • Bolsters for support

  • Blocks for accessibility

  • Blankets for warmth and comfort

  • Straps for deeper stretches

  • Eye pillows for relaxation

Just bring a water bottle and yourself. You're welcome to bring your own props if you have favourites, and consider bringing warm socks for the restorative portion.

What should I wear?

Wear what makes you feel good (for your mood on the day)! I love that some students express themselves while others prefer comfy favourites. Both are absolutely welcome—it's about what makes you feel comfortable and like yourself on the day.

Practical guidelines:

  • Something you can move in

  • Comfortable for both flow and lying down

  • Layers are great (we move from energizing to deeply restful)

  •

Optional: Warm socks and your favourite blanket for extra coziness.

How many people are in each class?

Maximum 12 people per session, whether it's a Flow to Restore class or mini-retreat.

Small group sizes mean:

  • More intimate, less intimidating atmosphere

  • Personalized attention from me

  • You're not lost in a crowd of 20+ people I can offer individual modifications

  • A retreat-like feel rather than a gym class

This is what makes Little Glimmer different from larger yoga studios.

What makes Little Glimmer different from other yoga studios?

Every Little Glimmer experience—whether a weekly class or retreat—is thoughtfully curated to include:

  • Playful movement (energizing flow sequences)

  • Deep rest (restorative poses with full prop support)

  • Contemplative themes (something to ponder and take with you)

  • Small intimate setting (max 12 people)

  • Complete experience (every session is carefully designed)

You'll leave feeling both floaty and inspired—energized and deeply rested at the same time. Classes run 60-90 minutes. Mini-retreats are 3 hours.

How is a mini-retreat different from a regular class?

Classes (60-90 minutes): It's a sneaky way to fit rejuvenation into your regular practice— a weekly reset combining flow and restoration with a contemplative theme.

Mini-Retreats (3 hours): A deeper immersion experience on Sunday afternoons. Includes gentle vinyasa flow, light nourishing refreshments, deeply restorative practice with extra time in poses, self-massage, and yoga nidra meditation. It's your chance to completely switch off and restart. You'll leave feeling like you've had a proper break.

What is a Recharge & Reboot mini-retreat?

A 3-hour Sunday afternoon experience (1-4pm) designed to completely switch off and restart your system. Think of it as your monthly reset when weekend retreats aren't realistic.

What's included:

  • Gentle vinyasa flow

  • Light, nourishing refreshments and tea

  • Deeply restorative practice with props

  • Self-massage techniques

  • Dreamy yoga nidra meditation

  • Contemplative theme to ponder

All equipment provided. Limited spaces for an intimate atmosphere.

About Your Teacher, Em

What's Em's teaching style like?

My teaching style is nurturing and personalized. I aim to create a space where you feel cared for, not pushed. In small groups (max 12), I can see what each person needs and offer modifications.

I create thoughtfully curated experiences that blend playful movement with deep restoration, weaving in contemplative themes—little sparks to ponder beyond the mat. Students often say something resonated or a theme was actually just what they needed that week, a little gentle push of motivation or inspiration.

I make yoga feel approachable, not intimidating. Small classes mean personalized attention. My aim is for you to leave feeling both floaty and inspired, not exhausted or judged.

What's Em's background?

I came to yoga for a functional reason (back strain), but fell in love with what yoga can do for mind, body, and soul. I completed my 350-hour Teacher Training in the ISHTA lineage at Tamara Yoga and am an accredited Menopause Yoga teacher (trained with Petra Coveney).

I blend my yoga qualifications with my background as an experience designer—I've always been passionate about creating meaningful moments for people. Based in North Freo.

What makes Em's classes a little different from other yoga classes?

Students tell me they love that Little Glimmer feels personal and thoughtful. I set up all the equipment before you arrive, keep classes small (max 12), and weave contemplative themes throughout. You're not just moving through poses—you're exploring ideas that might shift how you see yourself or your life. The atmosphere is friendly and fun, not competitive.

Will I feel comfortable with Em as my teacher?

You'll find a friendly, ego-free atmosphere. I pay attention to what each person needs and offer modifications so everyone can practice at their own level. If you're nervous or haven't done yoga in ages, I get it—many students start that way. I'll make sure you feel comfortable and supported, never pushed or judged. Come as you are.

  • Improving sleep and nervous system regulation

  • Restoring energy (from "wired but tired" to genuinely rested)

Do I need to provide a venue for private group sessions or retreats?

Your venue: Private retreats can be held at your house, holiday home, workplace, or venue of your choice. The cost does not include venue hire.

I can suggest venues: Yes! I'm happy to recommend venues or accommodation options in the Perth/Fremantle area and Margaret River region. Some venue ideas are also available on the website.

Space requirements: Allow approximately 2 square metres per person (1.2m wide x 1.8m long). Living rooms, decks, and gardens tend to work beautifully. You might be surprised at how much space you have once furniture is moved aside!

How does the cost of private group retreats work?

The cost per retreat is the total cost (not per person), which covers the suggested maximum number of people. You and your group divide the cost among yourselves and pay the total fee at the time of booking.

Pricing varies based on:

  • Group size

  • Duration (half-day, full-day, weekend)

  • Location (at the hall vs. I come to you)

  • Specific requirements
