Frequently asked questions
What if I’ve never done yoga before?
That’s totally fine. No yoga experience is necessary. Beginners are most welcome. I offer beginner variations for poses and clear directions.
Can we have more people?
If you’d like to have more people than I have recommended, please inquire. Let me know which type of retreat and the venue. There may be an additional cost.
Where are the retreats hosted?
The idea is for me to come to an agreed venue of your choosing. Your private retreat can be held at your house, holiday home or workplace. The cost does not include a venue. I can suggest a venue or accommodation for you.
What if I don't have a venue? Can you suggest venues?
Yes, I can suggest a venue or accommodation for you. I am also adding some venue ideas to the website soon.
Do I need to bring my own yoga gear?
You are welcome to use your own yoga gear if you prefer. I have equipment for up to 12 people. This includes yoga mats, bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps and eye pillows. If your group is larger than 12 people, then please let me know in the form below or note it when you book. We can discuss provision of more yoga gear for larger groups.
Which ages do you cater for?
I cater for all ages, except babies under 12 weeks.
Do you cater for disabilities?
Yes, I do. I take the responsibility for your well-being seriously. I will need to know any restrictions, so I can create an experience that's safe and fun for you. If you have a carer, they can attend for free. I can certainly offer chair yoga if you are in a wheelchair.
How does the cost of the retreat work?
The cost per retreat is the total cost (not per person), which covers a suggested maximum of people. You and your friends will divide the costs between themselves and pay the total fee at the time of booking.
Will I have enough space at my venue?
The general rule of thumb is to allow 2 square meters per person (1.2m wide x 1.8m long). Living rooms, decks and gardens tend to be the best spots. You might be surprised at how much space you have once you move the furniture into another room or push it to the side.
Do I need to provide accommodation for the yoga instructor?
No, you do not need to provide accommodation for me. If you are hosting a weekend retreat, I will leave after the first day and return in the morning.
Is food included in the cost?
No, the cost does not include food. I can recommend catering options.
What do I wear?
No fancy yoga clothes are necessary, but most welcome. Loose comfortable clothes are all you need.
Do you cater for pregnancy?
Yes, I do cater for pregnancy. Please let me know how many weeks you will be into the pregnancy at the time of the retreat, so I can offer appropriate variations for your stage.
