Are you waiting for someone to say it's good?
Aparigraha: Letting Go of Needing Approval

Does any of this sound familiar?
You get ready for a night out. You look in the mirror — you've made an effort, you feel good. Your partner doesn't say a word. Something shifts. Did you actually look nice?
You cook a new recipe, taste it yourself, think yum — and then nobody at the table comments. Oh... maybe it's not that tasty...
Before anyone else responded, you felt good.
And then slowly, it eroded.
If you are like me, you are reliant on external validation. Gretchen Rubin calls it a gold star seeker — made me chuckle.
This week, we're sitting with Aparigraha — non-attachment.
Not being so grippy. And specifically, that habit of outsourcing our sense of good to someone else's response.
Big love, Em x
