Ma and the Sound of Silence: Finding Stillness

I hope you are keeping cosy.

Can you hear winter? The splashes of puddles, the patter of rain, and the wind blowing muffles everything else.

It reminds me of a beautiful children’s book: The Sound of Silence. A boy searches for the sound of ma, of silence through busy streets of Tokyo, at family dinner and in the bamboo forest, to only realise it was there all along. He notices the space between the sounds.

Peaceful, like the garden after it snowed.”

Silence can be the doorway into intuition. Do you know those times when you can’t work something out or remember something, it just takes getting silent, and then it comes to you.
