Samskaras: Breaking Your Brain's Greatest Hits

Golden key shaped like a sun with the word unblock

We all have old stories, familiar feelings that loop on repeat and weigh us down. Can you think of any?

It's like a tyre stuck in the mud — eventually it creates such a deep groove that our mind and nervous system get stuck in it. In yoga, we recognise these as our samskaras. We can feel a whole-body response — becoming more fixated, anxious, or avoidant.

Unless we recognise and regulate these old patterns when they come up, they'll keep running in the background, blocking our energy from brighter, lighter things.

Come and join a class this week. We're recognising whatever old patterns are on repeat right now — and seeing if we can unblock and unlock these deep grooves to feel a little lighter, brighter and more open. We might not be able to fix or let go. But we can feel more at ease about letting them be.

Big love, Em x
