Samskaras: Creating Patterns to Live By

Yesterday I took my diary on a date for our third anniversary. “Hello dairy!!! Thank you for patiently listening to my constant merry-go-round of thoughts, worries, and ideas.”
Do you journal? It sounds like a drag for most of us, doesn’t it? But for me, writing out just three pages of whatever comes to mind untangles my pinball machine mind.
Once you begin to see patterns of the same annoyance or worry coming up (again and again) you can choose to change the way you think about it, do something about it, let it go, or let it be.
It's the same with ideas or something you want to do (new exercise, healthier eating, new project). If something keeps popping up and nudging you, try a small experiment to make it happen.
It helps to recognise your Samskaras. In yoga, Samskaras are like the grooves or imprints left on your mind by your thoughts, actions, and experiences. These patterns form our everyday life. So, friends, let’s create patterns to live by. ⭐
