What if nothing needs to change except how you see it?
Santosha: Contentment and Seeing Things Differently

Do you know the Sanskrit word, santosha, which means contentment regardless of circumstances?
It reminds me of what Michael Singer writes about in Living Untethered - how our personal concoction of likes and dislikes becomes our reality. We spend so much energy around wanting things a certain way, or feeling disappointed when something doesn't go our way. But what if we could have our emotions in harmony with reality unfolding, instead of being lost thinking the world has to be a certain way for us to be okay?
As Rumi reminds us:
"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."
✨ What if the world (work, friends, family, partner, financial situation, our appearance) doesn't need to change - the way we relate to and appreciate or accept it does?
Big love, Em x
