Menopause Yoga Course | Wed 10.45 am

What to expect

It's wonderful to continue your usual yoga practice on days that you feel great. This course will give you some options for when you are not feeling so great. You will discover what works for your unique and changing range of symptoms. WHO THE COURSE IS FOR The medical definition of Menopause is one day—the 12-month mark of not having periods. This course helps you navigate pre-menopause and post menopause. Pre-menopause (perimenopause) typically affects women in their 40s through 50s, 7-10 years before menopause when hormones can fluctuate wildly. Post menopausal women can be affected for 5-10 years as their bodies and minds adjust to the hormonal shift. WHY IT’S GOOD TO BE PREPARED The physical and mental state you bring into perimenopause and post menopause can be amplified. If you suffer from anxiety, low mood, cramps, irritability, or sleeplessness beforehand, it’s likely to accelerate during perimenopause and post menopause. The good news is that we can build on healthy habits to help tremendously. This is where the course comes in. HOW YOU WILL BENEFIT You will gain further understanding of what’s happening in your mind and body and explore ways to alleviate symptoms. WEEK ONE: Give yourself a pause (Intro) WEEK TWO: Soothe anxiety and overwhelm. WEEK THREE: Lift a low mood and light your fire. WEEK FOUR: Calm nerves and induce sleep. WEEK FIVE: Soothe Irritability and "Menorage". WEEK SIX: Alleviate hot flushes and night sweats. TIME 10.45 - 11.45 am Wednesdays DATES: 5th March - 9th April There is also a 6 week course running at 10.45 am on these dates. No yoga experience is necessary. Some yoga props will be provided. Please BYO yoga mat and bolster. If you don't have a bolster I can bring one for you. Please let me know in advance.

Hi, I'm Em 

I lead all Little Glimmer classes and Retreats. 

I'm a certified yoga instructor (Level 1 Tamara Yoga 350hr Teacher Training) and an accredited Menopause Yoga teacher.

I’m not a perfect teacher (no arm balances or headstands here!) I’m playful, philosophical, and nurturing.

I love how yoga teachers can mention one little story or a slice of yogi philosophy that reaches you at just the right time. I hope to bring this kind of little glimmer to you one day.
