📖✨ Let the story go
Equanimity: Letting Go of the Stories We Tell Ourselves

Have you ever noticed how we tell ourselves stories about what's happening?
Something goes wrong (like you lose your job) and immediately we're spiralling: "This is awful." "What if I can't get another job?" "What will everyone think?"
Or perhaps we are hit by the flu: "Oh no, I am going to miss all my exercise and yoga." "What if I go backwards?" "How am I going to catch up on all the work I missed?"
We project into the future. We spiral into the story.
And yet, we all know from experience that we can only form judgements from a limited perspective. Losing a job may open up something amazing and new for you. Time in bed with the flu is just that—time. Within weeks, you're back in the swing of things.
Equanimity is calm and evenness in the face of challenging situations. Not getting attached to the story about what is happening.
Join us as we explore Equanimity in class this week—because, I don't know about you guys, but keeping calm is easier said than done sometimes!
Need to recharge before the silly season really hits?
Big love, Em x
