Grow in
Grow In: Why Play Matters for Grown-Ups

We've all heard "Grow up. Don't be so childish."
Childish gets such a bad rap. And so the imaginative, just-for-fun parts of us quietly get pushed down as we build the facade of becoming more mature.
I love Maria Popova's perspective on maturity:
"One measure of maturity — perhaps the purest measure — may be the courage to put our arms around those former selves and pull them close."
How about instead of growing up, we grow in? Tend inwards...
Hello, silly, uninhibited, unselfconscious me.
Would you like to come out and play more often?
This week on the mat, we'll be sitting with a couple of stories — Hanuman and the Golden Buddha — both gentle reminders of what's already within us, just waiting to be remembered.
You'll know in my classes I like to keep it playful. You don't have to be "good" at yoga; you just need to listen to your body and have a bit of fun.
Big love, Em x
